Mountain Cabins Are Good For Recording Music

While staying in Coal Creek for a night I recorded a bunch of music. I have played and recorded these songs before, but these versions are quite different.

First is the honky-tonk song “Lost Highway.” I am not sure who wrote it but numerous versions have been recorded. I did this on Banjo, Mandolin, Guitar and vocals.

Second is the Peter Rowan song “Thirsty in the Rain.” A great tune that I did with two guitars, banjo and vocals. And some phasers and other effects.

And lastly is the first song I learned on banjo in 2002 when I picked up my first instrument. This version is nothing like the Del McCoury one. It is more of a grunge version that harnesses the power of Neil and Crazy Horse on rhythm Guitar.

I have at least four more songs from this recording session that will hit the blog soon.
